Suggest Treatment For Continuous Bleeding

Been bleeding for 8 months now after c-section delivery and tubal ligation. My gyno has given me birth control and depro shot and nothing. He says that there is nothing to be done but to go through a histerectomy. I was breastfeeding and stopped to help my body regulate the hormones, but the bleeding got worse. I am not sure to wait more or go through surgery ASAP since I already feel week.
