Suggest Treatment For Cough With Phlegm And Headache

I have been having a cough with yellow phlegm for the past 3 days. When I cough on purpose and expel the phlegm I tend to feel better for a little while. But I do get a headache as well as a pain in the middle of my chest. I had a fever prior to this, what could it be?
