Suggest Treatment For Dementia When Suffering From Bi-polar Disease

my sister is bipolar she has been in and of the hospital 12 times in the last 5 months the doctors say she has dementia she has had ect. treatments 4 times in the past first at 23 years of age then 3 other times she is now 70 years old her our family thinks she has had a mental breakdown we want her to have the treatments but the DR. said they would not help she is in the hospital at this time .
