Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough, Runny Nose And Mild Cold

At first I had a mild cold with a small cough and just starting runny nose. 2 days later, now i have a really awful runny nose, a really bad dry cough, and whenever i attempt to breathe in deeply my left lung aches. (And a mild sore throat.) What does this mean?
