Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough

I just had my tonsils taken out 2 weeks ago and I m still in alot of pain especially in my ears is it normal for healing to take this long? I also have this really dry cough that started yesterday its like a mix of coughing and wheezing and it keeps me up at night. Is there anything I can do about it?
