Suggest Treatment For Dry Scaly Cartilage In Nose

Due to infection my cartlidge in nose collapsed and it seems so dry and scaly since then Dermatologist gave me Carac fluorouracil cream and wondered if it would help. Think I m going to have plastic surgery to redo the cartlidge but until then nose looks so scaly. Thank you!
