Suggest Treatment For Ear Ache

hi, i have mastoiditis and am waiting for a mastoidectomy. i went to the doctors yesterday with bad earache due to another infection. i was prescribed anitbiotics and ear drops. the pain worsened. went back to the doctors last night and he has given me co-amoxiclav to start taking today. the pain is getting worse and worse and nothing is helping. any suggestions as im in agony, (been up crying all night and im 29!). thankyou, lorraine
