Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection

I have just been diagnosed with a URI & mild ear infection. The Nurse Practitoner said based on my unproductive cough & no temp probably viral. This is my 4th of symptoms. Extreme lethargy, ears itchy & some dizziness. She suggested continued comfort care of gargling & pushing fluids; gave me a Zpack after I told her @ Mtn Cedar time of year I usually can t get back up in my own. I forgot about my toe that is infected; ingrown toe nail started in October - repaired by Doc December. Have kept neosporin on it but no discernible progress in healing it Will Zpack probably help it? I m allergic to Penicillin, Anceph & Sulfa drugs
