Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection

One week ago after a prolonged cold some pus has released from my daughter's (11 months) ear. I have shown to my local children's doctor he gave some medicine orally and ear drops.I have used for one week, but my kid frequently puts her hand side of her ear and shows to us as if some pain and slaps her head. What should we do , do we need to consult ENT specialist.
