Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection

Yes sir, My name is Stacy I am currently 23...when i was 11..my father hit me across my ear and blew a third of my ear drum resulting in me...having extensive ear infections and problems hearing and needing a graph done on my entire eardrum pretty much. I am leaving on my first plane ride on the 25th and i remember and have always had a fear..but the ear nose and throat doctor that i had as well as my pcp. have stated that if i flew i will need to have surgery again...i wanted an opinion from a doctor...since its been 12 years since it occured.
