Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain

Hello Dr. I am 53 & very healthy. I was drying up water in my ear with a swab just sitting in my ear, I hit it by accident & it went to far in. It was painful! I took the swab out, I inserted another in a few minutes and there was a tiny amount blood, nothing coming out of the ear, no wax, no fluid. My hearing is fine, I have a slight dull pain now. Is there anything else I should do? Other than use cotton balls when showering, so I do not get water in my ears!!! Thank you.
