Suggest Treatment For Ear Pressure And Loss Of Hearing

I experienced a severe bout of flu at Christmas after which my hearing in both ears was affected. Audiology test revealed that my right ear was worse than the left although I have pressure in both ears with muffled sound - feels like I have water in both ears. The ENT surgeon inserted grommets into my right ear this week but so far there has been no improvement. I can now feel the blood rushing around in my right ear and the feeling of pressure is almost painful. Is this likely to improve?
