Suggest Treatment For Egg Shaped Lump In The Throat Causing Pain While Swallowing

I have a very painful egg shaped lump in throat and neck area by glands it only swells up when eating and gets really big and rock hard.then will go nack down til i eat again. it feels like its going to bust open it gets so thick and hard. it alsp pinches my throat like when u eat something sour making it a lil hard to eat. docs said it was from ear infection but i dont agree i may not be a doc but my gut instincy is leaning towards some kind of stone in throat. please help
