Suggest Treatment For Elevated Cholesterol And Triglyceride Levels

Hi! I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes around 11 years ago. My A1C at that time was 6.4. I was give metformin and lost about 35 lbs and my A1C went down to 5.7, which was acceptable to my Dr. Currently, I have not been able to lose weight and have fluccuated between 279 and 285. My labs have showed that I have high cholesterol and high triglycerides. Is there any new medications that can help me lower my A1C and help me lose weight?
