I can fall asleep easily. But, if I wake up I cannot get back to sleep. I also have a hard time sleeping more that 45 hours each night. I am a 50 year old woman, post menopausal, 5 6 and 160lbs. I have asthma, allergies and sinus problems. All pretty well managed with maintenance medications. I exercise daily - 3 miles walking 6-7 days/week and weights/yoga twice a week. About 6 months ago I started using Hormone replacement therapy for a variety of minor issues, mostly the sleep thing. It seemed to help for awhile. Now, I just can t stay asleep or return to sleep. In the last two days I have slept 4 hours one night and 4.5 hours the next. I track my sleep with fitbit and average around 5-6 hours/night. I frequently feel tired, run down and do suffer from pretty regular sinus infections. My job is demanding as a community resource director/AmeriCorps director supervising over 30 AmeriCorps members. I have talked to other healthcare professionals about this, but they don t seem to take this seriously. Today I feel so frustrated and depressed and just tired. I appreciate this help!
