Suggest Treatment For Fever, Headaches, Chest Tightness And Muscle Pain

I went to the Dr on Tuesday with a fever, headache, heightened senses, ear pain, shortness of breath, tight chest, deep muscle pain in legs, fatigue, a little dry deep cough. I was sent home with codeine cough medicine, told to get rest and drink a lot of fluid. I have done these but I don t feel much better. He did a flu test which came back negative. Any suggestions? I work in a school and have been around someone with strep and rheumatic fever. Is that contagious? Sorry but I thought this was free. I am a full time student and can t afford this. Thank you anyway.
