Suggest Treatment For Flair Up Of Crohn S Disease, Exhaustion And Joint Pain

My husband had a flair up of his Crohns disease which has been under control for greater than 25 yrs. By control I mean absolutely no medication.He was diag.1985-had Bowel Resection 1987-Mt.Saini Hosp.NY.HIS GI PHYSICIAN prescribed Pentasa and 6MP. He is extremely exhausted all the time and has joint pain.He is a CRNA and cant feel like this on a daily basis.I am also an RN and very concerned about him taking 6MP.Do you think my concern is warrented?
