Suggest Treatment For Flu Like Symptoms And Severe Cough

I have been experiencing flu symptoms since before Thanksgiving. I am 49 years old, exercise everyday and not overweight. I had a flu shot in October and since developing the symptoms have been to an Urgent Care and my physician. Urgent care diagnosed as an allergy and gave me nasal spray prescription and my physician diagnosed a possible infection that was the result of exposure to multiple viruses. I was given an antibiotic and finished the antibiotic last night. I am not getting better if anything my cough is worse.
