Suggest Treatment For Foul Smelling Scalp

I have a strange symptom where my scalp smells odd, like dirty feet. I can't get rid of it - if I wash my hair, it washes out, but during the way it build up again. Also, I have very little sense of smell, so I don't notice it myself - my mother has told me about it. (28 year old male)
