Suggest Treatment For Growing Lump Near Neck

I have a growing lump near neck /clavical...it hurts when I look to my right....if they cut it out...how long before returning to work? Is it related to lymphnodes or anything cancerous I drive a truck cross country...new doctor telling me to come back for a cat scan
