Suggest Treatment For Hair Growth On Head

Hello Doctor. I been loosing my hair since 3 years and i managed to cover my bald head with the existing hair. last month i went for Tonsure, which is showing up my bald head. I m getting thick hair round my head but at the top, I m not getting it properly. I ve been to a local Dermetologist, He asked me if i've been for Hair trasplant?, But i did not go for it. He suggested me to use MX 5%, and asked me to use it for 6 months. Is there any quick remedy for my problem such that the hair grows at a bit faster rate? Please advice
