Suggest Treatment For Halitosis

My 14yo son is concerned with halitosis (which he shares with his father and I am researching the connection between halitosis and GI disorders and treatments for same. Any suggestions? :/ His father has had a number of GI symptoms including reflux (my son also) but no conclusive causative factors. Thank you.
