Suggest Treatment For Hard Lump On Navel

I have a hard lump on my belly button and it pooches out. I have been told years ago that it is a certain type of hernia and not to worry about it. currently it hurts to the touch, I have put ice packs on it and neosoporin.......and my stomach seems queezy most of the time in the last 5 to 6 weeks.
