Suggest Treatment For Having Blood Blisters On Scrotum

I am a 60 year old male and have had blood blisters on my scrotum for several years. During that time, I can remember 2 occasions when one burst, leaving quite a lot of blood on my clothing. A 3rd occurred tonight. None of the 3 times have I noticed any pain associated with the bursting. I only know it's happened when I stand and feel the wetness. It usually takes several minutes of applying cloths to the area to stop the bleeding. I spoke to my doctor when it first happened and he didn't seem to think it was anything to react to, that it was one of those things that happens as we get older. Any thoughts/suggestions?
