Suggest Treatment For Having Neuroma Near Elbow

I have what my family doctor says is likely a neuroma near my elbow. I fell a few years ago and this area hit cement. following this fall, the small bump occurred. When it is touched I experience radiating pain for a number of seconds. In my intranet research, I have not found information about neuromas on the arm, near the elbow, etc.
What do you suggest. My doctor said surgery is an option, but that it could leave further complications. Is this something I should resolve to live with
