Suggest Treatment For Head Lice Infestation

Hi. My 9 year old granddaughter has had a continual infestation of head lice. Family doctor has prescribed the "pill" twice yet with it and shampoo's and mayonaise and olive oil and and and, the lice/nits nits persists. What else can I do to stop this infestation(s) since May of last year?
