Suggest Treatment For Headache With Soreness

i have alot of headaches my doctor cant find a cause he wants me to have an mri but last week i had a headache ive never had before....felt like needles poking into the top of my head repeatedly for 2 days after it was gone i had a sore spot there....what kind of headache was that?
