Suggest Treatment For Hearing Loss Due To Perforated Ear-drum

Hello,
I have a perforated left ear-drum with a build up of scar tissue behind the drum (perforation has Ben there for in excess of 20 years following tubes being fitted and drum not healing).
I have zero hearing in my right ear and about 60% in my left ear, since three years old (now 36).
Had previously been registered with the Throat, Nose and Ear specialist hospital at Grays Inn Road, London, but have not had a check up in the last three years.
Was advised at 15 years old that I could not Skydive, or Scuba dive, but really want to take part in a charity tandem jump.
What is the current advice?
Should I ask my GP for a referral to a Audiology specialist?
Thank you.
Darren.
