Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstruation And Groin Pain

Today I had a ultra sound scan as I have been suffering from really heavy periods and have groin pain. They told that I have a uterus folicle which I presume is a ovarian cyst it is 4cm. I had one removed at 19. I also had a bad smear two years ago but had a procedure and was given the all clear. I have suffered heavy periods for 10years . I have had a coil fitted but after a year had it removed as I still bled for most of the year. I have been on the pill but that didn't help either. Could I have a hysterectomy
