Suggest Treatment For High Sugar Levels And Weight Gain

Hi doctor, My mom is 52 years old and diabetic from more than 15 years.She was suggesed to take insulin but it did not help much in controlling suga.later she was advised to take triglycomet forte.i see her gaining weight. She maintains her diet too.Could you please suggest us on this? Is there any other alternate medicine? Thanks in advance
