Suggest Treatment For Hip Pain After Getting A Shot For Back Pain

I got a shot, for back pain, 2 days later I experienced extreme nerve pain. 3 wks later I was diagnosed with Shingles. I didn't see any blisters (on my right butt cheek where I got the shot) but could see the scabs. Never had any itching or pain with those. It has now been nearly 3 months and the pain is from my right hip down and seems to be getting worse, not better. I was given a schedule(from my primary doctor) and precribed Neurontin, 300 mg. From my orthopedic doctor I was given Percocet. The pain is only masked and is so severe, I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do and should this be so severe and how long will it last?
