Suggest Treatment For Hoarseness

I am a 57 year old female smoker (have been using the electronic cigarette for 3 months now) Anyway just 2 weeks ago my voice became hoarse and now I can only whisper. I gargle with warm salt water, use lozenges and such on ice cubes Nothing seems to help . Any ideas? Susie M.
