Suggest Treatment For Hot Flushes And Insomnia In 71 Year Old Woman

I had a robotic hysterectomy for early endometrial cancer about a year ago. I had negative lymph nodes and I do not require further treatment other than frequent follow-up visits. I have a cascade of disturbing symptoms, hot flashes, insomnia, trouble concentrating, low moods. My physician has told me that I am having these problems due to "menopause". I am now 71 years old, and had menopause many years ago, I was however on HRT until the surgery. The most distressing symptom is sexual discomfort and inability to enjoy the experience. My physician tells me that any form of estrogen, even vaginal cream is not an option for me. Is there any safe effective treatment for me?
