I ve been told I Have a 9cm adnexal cyst. My doctor called it humungous and she suggests I cancel travel plans 6 weeks from now, but they are not doing anything other than having a second ultrasound in 6 weeks. There is evidence that I have had this got months based on my symptoms that can be attributed to the cyst. And I had an episode in December where I went to emergency because I was in incredible pain (at the same spot where the cyst is), much like labor, and after 5 hours of intense pain, it went away after I went pee. They thought it might be a kidney stone, but I believe it is more likely that it was a ruptured or twisted cyst because the pain continued long after this. Why does the doctor want to wait if it s this big, and may have been around for a while? I don t think it will deflate on its own considering its size. I am not keen on surgery, but I am not happy having this biological time bomb in the lower abdomen. I need advice on how to proceed.
