Suggest Treatment For Hypertension Along With High Cholesterol

My husband s blood pressure has consistently been around 155 over 88 for around a year now. I know he also has high cholesterol. He is 53 years old, 5 11, and weighs 200 pounds. He is very active but eats a lot of high fat foods. He always has extreme headaches and just all over body pain in general. He is up for a job that requires him to pass a full physical. Will this blood pressure reading cause him to fail the physical? We have no health insurance and that is the reason he has not been to the doctor. This new job provides medical insurance thank goodness. That is if he gets it.
