Suggest Treatment For Hypopigmentation On Lower Lip

I was on Aldara for 4 1/2 weeks (3x per week) to treat actinic cheilitis on my lower lip. I had a very severe response that included deep erosions across my entire lower lip. Now I am wondering what I can do to reduce the likelihood of permanent hypopigmentation. I am very fair skinned.
