Suggest Treatment For Impetigo

Im a 25 year old female and I get impetigo in my nose (which generally speads onto one cheek and sometimes up into my eye) practically every month. This has been going on for quite a few years (since I was a child). I was prescribed a cream with fusidic acid in it but that didnt really help. Ive also had steroid creams in the past with little effect. Ive stopped going to the doctors when I get the impetigo because they always give me the creams and they dont work, instead I just treat myself with tea tree oil and eye drops if it spreads into my eye. Ive heard a course of antibiotics can be used to treat impetigo. What antibiotics are generally given and for how long? And will this stop the infection coming back all the time? Thanks.
