Suggest Treatment For Incomplete Emptying Of Bladder And Pain In Lower Abdomen

My husband is complaining he feels urge to pee but cant completely empty his bladder and pain in lower abdomen/ pelvic area for last two days. He never complains He just now mentioned it so i know he must be uncomfortable. Hes 53 i n good health other than stressful job and 20 lbs. Extra around the middle. Had 1 or 2 mild bouts with diverticulitis a few years back but says this is unrelated
