Suggest Treatment For Infected Toe After Undergoing Chemotherapy

Hi,

My dad has just finished his last course of chemotherapy, and now has an infected toe, which is oozes pus when he squeezes it. I am concerned because his body is unable to fight any infection at the moment, and I can't get him into a doctor until tomorrow. Would a dettol soak benefit him in the meantime? Would there be a problem with the toe staying wet under the nail after soaking?
