Suggest Treatment For Insomnia

I seem to have insomnia for the last two weeks. I have been taking adderall for months but I only take it in the AM a few times a week. 10mg x 2. A 30 day supply normally last me 3 months. He gave me xanaz to help me sleep and ordered a Cortisol blood test and THS test. Is he testing for a junky?
