Suggest Treatment For Irregular Periods And Bloating And Hot Flashes

My periods are very irregular, but becoming more regular over past few months. I had a period in March around the 14 th or so. I started feeling like one was coming on around the 12 th of this month. Instead got 31/2 days of brown discharge, some bloating and increased appetite and hot cold flashes. What could cause this?
