Recently I felt a sharp pain on my sphincter that developed into a strange itch. I wadded up some TP and soaked it Witch Hazel and left pressed it onto my anus for about 30 minutes. When I removed the TP I saw a small spot of blood. Thinking this may be a fissure, I have been careful with the wiping and have been trying to increase my fiber intake. Unfortunately the irritation got worse. Not so much an itch as the feeling like my anus was chapped like your lips get chapped when skiing. Tender and cracking, but not dry. Thinking it may be parasites, there have been times where it felt as if I was being tickled which leads to the itch which leads to trying to do something to relieve the irritation. that s when I tried a bit of tea tree oil with coconut oil to sooth the chapped feeling. For naught. Then there seemed to be a yellowish discharge of some sort because when the itching became unbearable I would not wipe, but would press TP onto it out of not knowing what else to do. When the TP didn t come back clean even though I haven t had a BM, I wondered if I was leaking. Smelling it, it made me think maybe I had some kind of yeast infection, so I tried peroxide which seemed to be the most soothing remedy, but didn t fully cure it. I then went out and got some hibiclense to wash with along with an antifungal cream because I am running out of options. Today I found less discharge but it smelled strongly of fish oil. I have no abdominal pain or other symptoms. Just had my bloodwork done and aside from some low vit-D and slightly elevated cholesterol, nothing else raised a red flag. I did have a severe case of the flu recently and have been under a lot of stress, experiencing a lot of anxiety. No known medical conditions or allergies. 40 year old male.
