Suggest Treatment For Itching Due To Rash

I have a rash for the last 5 weeks. I thought it was a reaction to a new laundry soap and my doctor gave me prednisone, I go back to my doctor this week; but when I type in the symptoms this brocq-duhring comes up. I have been eating gluten free for the last 4 days and it seems to help but what can I do for the itching in the interim?
