Suggest Treatment For Itching In My Thighs

i have a severe itch that started at my thighs and has spread down my legs and up around my belly button. there are no visible bumps anywhere besides the back of my thighs. i started using baby powder and antibacterial soap to keep my crotch dry and clean but the itching continues. it seems to be most severe at night because when i try to sleep i will be woken up by the itching. i have tried lotion and exzema cream but neither have worked
