Suggest Treatment For Itching In The Vagina

Hi, I have been experiencing vaginal itching, a slight discharge of white colored mucus and my urine has a very strong smell to it. I'm thinking it's a yeast infection and I have some hydrocortisone cream called Cortate. Will Cortate treat the problem? I don't want to drive all the way into the city to see a Doctor if this will work for me. Thank you very much for you time.
