Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Dry Skin

my 10 year old has been complaining of itchy skin, thought it was dry skin. She just woke up with red blotchy skin all over her body including her feet with random white welts, some small, some large all over her body, could this be an allergic reaction or something else. no known allergies. she just got over a gastro bug a couple of days ago
