Suggest Treatment For Itchy Ankles

I get itchy ankles every night. it is no allergic reaction to my socks or shoes. I wake up and they itch very bad even though there is no rash. although, after i itch it a small rash/scab is there. I need to know what is causing it and how to prevent it.
