Suggest Treatment For Itchy Throat With Mucus Formation

Hi doctor, my mother has constant itchy throat and it's like she has mucus in her throat. She also has heart burn which occurs when she eats spicy, oily food. She also hasn't stopped her period so I was wondering if these all are menopause symptoms? Thank you!
