Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain And Hard Tissue After Rod Placement In Femur

I have had a rod in my femer since 2001. The hip scare is tender to touch and the knee is hard tissue with pain. It is worse with weather change and positioning. Its like I can t get comfort able. Is it common to get them removed or is that more dangerous than leaving in.....
