Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain With Bruises After Injury

I broke my patella in at least 3 different places 6 days ago. I go back to the orthopedic doctor on Monday. 2 days ago, I noticed a fresh red bruise on my knee. Today, I notice a curved line of roundish-dotted bruising down the side of my calf. Should I be concerned? What could be happening? Can it wait until Monday when I see the doctor since it is not hurting me. The pain in my knee is still unbearable.
